things wabi-sabi are expressions of time frozen.
this table was built for a client from New Orleans whose house was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. a precious painting was also damaged beyond repair. the client wanted to find a way to reincarnate the damaged painting.
in order to capture the moment that the painting was suddenly destroyed, we laminated the broken pieces of the painting between multiple layers of clear acrylic.
to freeze time forever. to become a table.
