this umasi chair was selected to participate in the nineteenth annual materials: hard & soft exhibit at the center for visual arts in the dallas area. the juror for the exhibition, lloyd herman, is the founding director of the smithsonian’s renwick gallery, and he’s widely considered one of the foremost authorities on the contemporary craft movement in this country.
this umasi chair was also selected to receive a juror award for the show.
